AFTER LISBON: SOCIAL EUROPE AT THE CROSSROADS
The new project is initiated by SALTSA and is run by a small discussion group working in close connection with the TURI network. The subject for discussion is the crucial issue of what EU-policies will be formulated after Lisbon 2010. A first meeting was held in Brussels in March and a second will be held in Istanbul in December. The ambition is to declare a position that hopefully can serve as a constructive input for a further and wider discussion among policy makers, social partners and researchers and as an input for policy action. The result of the discussion will be published in the form of a short report which will be presented at a conference in Brussels in spring 2010.
TURI-partners in the group are SALTSA, Sweden, IRES, France, Fundacion 1° de Mayo, Spain, IRES, Italy and ETUI. Additional members are representatives from Ankara University, University of Bremen, Helsinki School of Economics and University of Glasgow.
